Super Booster Seat Bracket

Description

  • Designed a custom seat mounting bracket for a short driver using a narrow bucket seat, addressing limitations in commercially available options.

  • Built to be taller and more adjustable than any bracket on the market, extending from the commercial max of 6.9 in to 7.85 in in height.

  • Fully conforms to FIA and ARA safety standards while providing greater ergonomic flexibility.

Development

  • Modeled geometry in Fusion 360 to achieve both height and multi-axis adjustability.

  • Programmed toolpaths in SheetCAM and CNC Commander for fabrication.

  • Cut components on a CNC plasma table and formed them with a manual sheetmetal brake, applying motorsports fabrication techniques.

Results

  • Delivered a bracket with 45° of seat tilt adjustability, 14 in of front-to-back horizontal travel, and 5 in of vertical height adjustability.

  • Provided a solution that is both taller and more adjustable than any commercially available option, giving shorter drivers improved fit and visibility.

  • Produced a repeatable design ready for fabrication in future racecar builds.

Rally Door Cards

Used 3D scanning, photography from really far for proper perspective, Fusion 360, SHeetCAM, CNC Commander, and a plasma table to produce these.

They are fitted after removing ~20 lbs of material from the door structure using rivet nuts

Rally Truck Skidplates

Description

  • Designed custom skidplates to protect critical undercarriage components on a rally-prepped truck.

  • Built to withstand impacts from rocks, gravel, and bottoming out, ensuring reliability across varied terrains.

Development

  • Created initial templates in cardboard, then transferred measurements into Fusion 360 for CAD modeling.

  • Programmed toolpaths in SheetCAM and cut plates on a CNC plasma table.

  • Incorporated TIG-welded bungs for hardware scrape protection and durability.

Results

  • Delivered robust skidplates that allow the truck to compete on rally stages without risk of damaging vital drivetrain or chassis components.
